METAL GIANTS LAMB OF GOD SCHEDULE LIVE WEB STREAM OF PHILADELPHIA SHOW ON MAY 9, 2009 AT THE ELECTRIC FACTORY

Metal giants LAMB OF GOD have announced a live streaming of their upcoming show at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia on May 9, 2009. This will mark the first time the band has offered a live stream of an entire show to the public. The festivities begin at 9:30 PM EST on the band’s official website (www.lamb-of-god.com/media.html).The band will be utilizing technology provided by KYTE (www.kyte.tv) for this special event. Fans will be able to choose from several different camera angles around the stage as they watch the live stream of the band’s performance.

“Since we can't seem to play every town and can't possibly fly you all to ours, we came up with a way to play your house,” says drummer Chris Adler. “Mosh with Mom! One time only metal stimulus package! This tour has been amazing and we hope you enjoy the show!”

Chris Adler used KYTE during the recording process of their new album and has continued uploading video blogs and streaming live content since the release of their fifth studio album WRATH. The band has also been offering live web casts to their fan club located at: http://www.lamb-of-god.com/congregation.html.

This exclusive look at a live show is the latest innovative promotion from Lamb of God. Recently the rockers launched an “Escape the Plague” contest where fans who purchase one of the first 100,000 copies of the new CD can win a BBQ with vocalist Randy Blythe, special Lamb of God equipment, or another one of 100 available prizes.

Currently, Lamb of God are headlining the NO FEAR ENERGY tour and are supporting WRATH, which was released on February 24th of this year and debuted at #2 on the Billboard Charts.

LAMB OF GOD GUITARIST AND RACING FAN MARK MORTON BRINGS METAL TO THE TRACK

This Saturday, May 1, LAMB OF GOD guitarist Mark Morton will be taking part in an NHRA racing event in St. Louis, MO in support of race car driver and metal fan Shawn Langdon. Morton will be there at the starting line for Langdon’s races at the O’Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals Presented by Castrol at GIR.

“I'm thrilled about my upcoming trip to the O'Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals!” said Morton. “As a life-long race fan and a drag racer myself, I couldn't be more excited at this opportunity to get an up close look at some of the world's greatest drivers and crews going head to head.”

“I actually have their new album 'Wrath' on my iPod and I listen to them before I race to get me pumped up,” adds Langdon. “Ever since I found out about this visit, I've been excited. At least the loud noise won't be a problem, but I bet we'll still send a shock any way. It's impossible to prepare for 8,000 horsepower and I can't wait to get 'em on the starting line and show them what we do.”

Mark Morton has always been a huge car enthusiast and even races competitively as his touring schedule allows. His favorite car he owned growing up was a ’71 Oldsmobile 442 he restored with his family. Morton now races an ’81 Oldsmobile Cutlass that clears the ¼ mile in just over 11 seconds in bracket racing, a form of drag racing. He has become friends with several professional drivers including Scott Wimmer and Justin Marks, and, as a NASCAR fan who never misses a race, plans to continue supporting motorsports as much as possible.

WRATH, the new release from Epic recording artists LAMB OF GOD, rocketed onto Billboard's Top 200 this week at # 2, with an impressive 67,631 copies sold making this the highest-charting album debut and biggest sales week of the band's career. The band finds themselves smack in the middle of the Top 3, bringing metal back to the top of the charts between mainstream artists Taylor Swift, and The Jonas Brothers. WRATH is the band's third album on Epic Records and their first with Grammy-winning producer Josh Wilbur.

Wrath is upon us, and you are showing the world that metal is far from dead. However, nothing is ever perfect. We worked late into the night yesterday evening to supply replacement codes for the few that are missing, and will continue to as requests come in. Since the album became available yesterday AM there are thousands of you who have visited www.lamb-of-god.com/escapetheplague and entered your code. Many of you have been asking questions about the contest, and we would like to address those. Simply put, the code on the insert is like a "golden ticket" and is the most important part of "escaping the plagues." This code will determine whether you've one a chance to select prize or not.

Lamb of God Announce the Escape the Plague Contest

Coinciding with the February 24th Release of Wrath

On February 24th, to celebrate the release of their fifth studio album Wrath, Lamb of God have created the Escape The Plague contest. The first 100,000 copies of the album will include a card that will direct the fan to Lamb-of-God.com/escapetheplague. Once at the site, the fan will be instructed to enter the code listed on the card and answer three questions. The site will then randomly select 100 winners, who will then be directed to the prize page to select their prize. As each prize is chosen, the site will automatically delete that prize and will do so until all prizes are claimed. The site will go live at midnight, February 23rd, 2009.

LAMB OF GOD - WRATH -- February 24th, 2009

Worldwide Tour Planned

LAMB OF GOD will release their fifth studio album WRATH, on February 24th, 2009. The record will be released in North America by Epic and will be the first release with their new label Roadrunner, outside of North America. WRATH is produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia, and New Hampshire.

LAMB OF GOD finished the touring cycle on the Grammy nominated album Sacrament at the end of 2007. The two-year trek was documented in the now certified Gold DVD Walk with Me in Hell and culminated with the band headlining arenas across the US last December.

The band has taken the entirety of 2008 off the road to focus on the writing process for WRATH.

"This album is going to surprise a lot of people," comments drummer Chris Adler. "Typically bands that get to where we are in our career begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. WRATH needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on February 24th you will feel it."

As always, LAMB OF GOD will embark on an extensive tour that will cover the globe. As previously announced, the band will be supporting Metallica on the December leg of their tour. The first leg of the WRATH world tour will start in Finland on February 6th and will encompass dates in the UK, Australia, and Japan.

Chris Adler Studio Wrap Up

Hey everyone, just a wrap up from the studio and the live feed via Kyte. First, thanks to Kyte for hosting this, it was a huge undertaking and the volume of people that showed up to check it out (over 170,000 people stopped in and commented) was daunting for all of us!!!

It was a really cool experience for me allowing everyone to see the tracks go down and interacting between takes with questions and pointers. There were 2 times Josh and I actually had a poll on what the viewers thought would be the cooler beat, and that’s what went down live! It will live that way on the album forever.

I wish I had been able to be a fly on the wall when some of the records I listen to were being made in the studio. I like bringing that possibility to everyone interested. It was fun, and I’m looking into continuing to use this technology to give a backstage view when we hit the road. Why wait for the DVD? Real time, all the time. I’m still working on those details, as well as some additional stuff (show cam???) for members of the Congregation so stay tuned!

Thanks again and as you may have already heard in the drum sessions, these new tracks are killer! I’m so amped. Taking a little time away at the beginning of the year really recharged the batteries and had us all wanting to write something that will top them all. Time will tell, but I can tell you now that these drum takes are some of the most challenging and aggressive I have played since the Palaces record. This one is gonna hurt!

Lamb of God's 'Walk With Me in Hell' DVD Strikes Gold

and Secures the #2 Spot on Billboard's Video Music Chart in it's First Week!!!

Lamb of God's new double disc DVD, 'Walk With Me In Hell,' debuted #2 on Billboard's Video Music Chart selling over 13,000 units. The DVD shipped gold in its first week and the heavy metal icons were a close second to pop mainstay John Mayer.

Lamb of God's prior DVD, the platinum-certified 'Killadelphia,' sold 8,000 in its first week and debuted at # 4 on the charts. With its incredible first week success, 'Walk With Me In Hell' is poised to far surpass its predecessor.

Drummer Chris Adler commented on the initial success of the double DVD: "We are incredibly fortunate to have such dedicated fans and friends across the world. As you will remember, last year, we released the Producer Edition of Sacrament which included all of the tracks from the album as stems. We then asked fans to create their own remixes for a chance to be flown to NYC to see the premiere of our new DVD with us. There were so many great entries that it took us a long time to get through them all and we have to award several!

He will be flying to NYC this monday to hang with us at Sirius HardAttack as we premiere his remix on air with Jose Mangin. The band is currently at home putting the finishing touches on an extensive new DVD, choosing the finalists from the Sacrament Producer Challenge and beginning the writing process for a new CD.

Updated Schedule

The Adler brothers have recently scheduled several drum and guitar 'Battle Clinics' in Germany. The clinics are said to be similar to the Modern Drummer Festival Clinic Chris gave in 2005, with more time devoted to playing, attendee interaction and the writing process.

In addition, Chris will be one of three international judges (also consisting of Will Calhoun of Living Colour and Walfredo Reyes Jr. of Santana) in the Drummer of Tomorrow 2008 European Final Competition on March 15 during the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany.

End of the Sacrament

LAMB OF GOD and Killswitch Engage have announced that they will be teaming up for a late fall co-headlining tour. Almost four years after their first run together on MTV2's Headbangers Ball Tour, the two powerhouses have reunited to bring holiday mayhem throughout the US. The tour will begin on November 28th in Lowell, Massachusetts and end on December 17th in Albuquerque, New Mexico with LAMB OF GOD and Killswitch Engage alternating headlining slots each night.
Directly supporting these metal juggernauts will be DevilDriver, with Swedish metallers Soilwork kicking off the show each evening.

LAMB OF GOD will be wrapping up the Sacrament album cycle with this tour. After 18 months of touring with Slayer, Megadeth, Ozzfest, Heaven and Hell, and headlining runs in the US, Japan, Australia, UK and Europe, LAMB OF GOD will take 2008 off to prepare for a new CD.
Fans will get a new dose of LAMB OF GOD in 2008 with a full length DVD, set for release in the spring. The DVD will document the entire Sacrament experience, beginning with rehearsals for the albums recording straight through this headline run.

Current Events

LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler has offered a brief update on recent and current activities.

"Here's a quick update on what's been happening around the LOG camp. Following our spring tour with Gojira, Machine Head and Trivium, we headed over to Japan, Australia and New Zealand for a few weeks. Truly amazing part of the planet and I feel lucky to have had the chance to return. Incredible shows, totally insane signings and meet and greets, and real hospitality that make us all look forward to heading back.

Once home, we barely had enough time to catch up on our sleep before we flew back over the pond to begin a month across Western Europe. This trip included most of the European summer festivals including shows and festivals in the beautiful Nordic countries. We had done a few of the festivals several years ago, but this time was beyond any expectations. The word of LOG has obviously spread! These were some of the biggest shows of our career (Download festival was ~75,000 people!!!). It is an amazing and exhilarating feeling to perform in front of such incredible audiences. I for one am very thankful for the opportunity ñ it is a dream realized and I will never forget it.

While there, we were invited to attend and perform at the Metal Hammer awards ñ going into it I didn't really know what to expect since we don't have anything similar over here, but basically it's like the Grammy's for Metal in the UK. Red carpet and all. Good thing I had my camo shorts!

We arrived home just a few days ago and immediately went to work preparing for Ozzfest. We fly to Seattle in just a few days. Just this morning we loaded the semi and sent it on its way. There's a million behind the scenes stories, bloopers and blunders to tell, and I promise they will see the light of day in part 2 of the Sacrament DVD, but for now, I gotta get some rest! If you're able to, come say hi on Ozzfest. Help us and many of the bands continue to enlighten and push metal further than it's ever been. We plan on putting on our best show yet and what the hell - even if you hate us ñ we'll make sure you get you money's worth!!!"

Metal Hammer Awards

LAMB OF GOD has walked away with the 'Best Live Band' award at this years Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards Ceremony.

The band also performed at the event and shared the company of some of metals greats including Heaven and Hell, Slayer, Dee Snider and Nikki Sixx.

'It was an honor to perform and to be recognized by Metal Hammer' comments drummer Chris Adler. 'They have had our back in the UK since day one and we are flattered to be a part of this historic night. It was a blast seeing our friends in every band you can imagine in attendance. A night to be remembered, and an award to be shared with the greatest fans in the world - they are the ones that voted us to the top and we humbly appreciate it.'

The band will return to the UK in November to team up with Heaven and Hell.
