It is that time again, my friends. The Lamb of God/Killswitch Engage tour is upon us. On November 28th, the tour kicks off for a brief couple of weeks that lasts through the later days of mid December. If you live in, or near a city where this tour is headed...fear not, for what type of tour would this be without a Lamb of God contest? HERE'S THE DEAL: Go to the URL for the flyer http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/3514/logksetourflyercopyqz3.jpg Copy & paste, or do what you have to do to print this flyer out...multiple times. From there paste it everywhere you can, tell people about it, advertise, advertise, advertise, promote, promote, promote. Have someone take pictures of you spreading the word of this tour. Taken them yourself, if you're that talented. Either way, email me at streetteam@lamb-of-god.com with AT LEAST 10 pictures of yourself promoting this tour. Be creative, be original, and put the best effort forward. Do this, and you just may score 2 tickets to the tour date you wish to attend. Any questions, please email me, and I will be more than happy to answer them for you! Thanks Jase Jagodzinski Lamb of God Street Team
Hey everyone, hope all is well. Things are good here; I¡¦ve been enjoying some time at home. Ozzfest was a great time for us. Killer opportunity playing in front of some massive crowds and beat them mercilessly with our nasty noise. Our last show of that tour was a headline gig in Richmond. This was cool as it had been since the middle of the writing process for Sacrament since we had delivered a hometown show (you can see that show in the Sacrament DVD). We have been fortunate to tour the world several times on Sacrament, but it has kept us away from home for what seemed like forever and it was good to be back. A lot of our friends came out to support and it was a great homecoming. Took some time to adjust to sleeping in stationary bed and to get back on a normal schedule. I think I¡¦ve finally adjusted ¡V perfect timing ¡V we leave for the UK in 3 days!!! For a while I was rehearsing on my own every day, but early this month I broke the middle toe on my right foot. Badly. The x-ray showed the bone snapped all the way across. You see, I was deep in training for a UFC fight and snapped it breaking concrete slabs. Not quite. I wish I had a good story, but it¡¦s actually pretty pathetic. I slammed it on the leg of the bed in the middle of the night coming back to bed from taking a leak. ƒ¼ I haven¡¦t played drums in weeks. Probably the longest I have gone without playing since we started the band. Very awkward for me as I¡¦m pretty neurotic about rehearsing. I think it¡¦s been good for me though. I really needed some chill time and the time away has made me really hungry to play. During the down time, I did all kinds of crap. Joe from Gojira came and stayed with me for a week and then the band came in for a week of rehearsals. Hung with those guys a lot as they prepared for their tour. Lots of work on my house and I also got really into the 360 game Bioshock. Other than drunken matches of Guitar hero on the bus I never play video games anymore, but with my toe elevated and on ice there was only so much I could do. Cool game. So, we are scheduled to leave Friday for the UK tour with Heaven and Hell. Heaven and Hell! Are you kidding me? We are incredibly fortunate to have this opportunity and I personally can¡¦t wait. I¡¦m also a big fan of John Schaffer¡¦s writing, playing and perseverance. I¡¦ve been an Iced Earth fan for years. I met him and Tim Owens years back during a taping of HBB at MTV and I¡¦m excited to hang and talk shop with him again as well. That¡¦s a funny story itself. We showed up at MTV for the taping at 8:30am. They always have the metal bands come in at ungodly hours, probably in hopes of everyone being chill and less hostile or whatever. Willie and Randy ¡§outsmarted¡¨ them. Instead of calling it an early night beforehand, they pulled an all-nighter. By the time we arrived, they were so in the bag they could barely speak. You could see in that episode that Willie is sitting in the back holding a 40oz. in a brown bag! Every time Jamey would announce the next video Willie would yell from the back ¡§F Yeah!¡¨ or ¡§Those dudes suck!¡¨ and we¡¦d have to shoot the segment again! Randy kept screaming ¡¥The Rippaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!¡¦ (referring to Tim) in his highest falsetto. It took forever, but I think the humor in it won out. Anyway, I gotta go get ready to rock. I hope rehearsal goes well - I¡¦m sure you¡¦ll hear about it somehow if it doesn¡¦t. I¡¦ll keep up here and there from the tour and let you know more about the December US tour as it approaches. I know it will be our last for a long time. We plan on taking the entirety of 2008 to reconnect, get hungry and write. Plans never seem to be set in stone with a band, but the idea would be to bunker down with no shows for the year. The next album must be more intense than anything we¡¦ve done and we don¡¦t want any distractions. There¡¦s something amazing on it¡¦s way to punctuate the end of the Sacrament cycle. You will hear about it in the next few days, it¡¦s been in the works for a while and it¡¦s no less than revolutionary. It¡¦s crazy actually ¡V you¡¦ll see and be the judge soon enough. We are all very excited about this surprise. Hope this finds you well - we are looking forward to kicking your butt one more time before the end of the year! Stay metal, Chris
At this time there is no deadline on the Street Team shirt submitions. Keep 'em coming!
#1 No profanity or vulgar material. This goes for sexually explicit material, nudity, racial content/profiling (hangman's noose), gang related signatures or signs, hand signs, or hand gestures. No war crime symbols (swastikas, agent orange, holocaust, Nazi salute gestures, etc). No material containing the deceased, the sick/suffering, the injured, and no body parts (yes, even if its fake). This does not exclude skeletons...and yes there is a difference. Do not scar your body in attempt to create the design, or cut the band's name into your skin. (however, tattoo design submitions will be reviewed...just know that this gives everyone the oppertunty to have your one of a kind Lamb of God design tattooed on them as well) No religious symbols. As the band has said in the past, the political push is over with, let's keep it that way. No political statements. NOTE!!! There are people of all ages on the street team, from all over the world. If they were to be purchasing these shirts it would be a completely different story. Since they are being given out, there are limitations to be put on the shirts. #2 Material used must be Lamb of God related. Meaning, a symbol that represents Lamb of God. Something that you can identify and is specifially related to the band. #3 Photos of your submition are to be mailed to streetteam@lamb-of-god.com. Two pictures per entry. This includes pictures of the front of the shirt, and the back. Keep your designs and original pictures handy. If an upclose pic of the design is required, you will be notified, and you will need to provide one in order for your submition to remain valid. Photos must not exceed 1000 pixels by 1000 pixels due to email and computer bandwith configurations. (in other words, don't slow down my computer). #4 All submitions need to include your physical address where you can receive and telephone number. International submitions, please include your country code. Since this contest is for the Street Team, you should be on the Street Team! If you haven't already joined please register at www.lamb-of-god.com/sacrament/street I will be personally reviewing all submitions and deciding a winner. The individual of the winning submition will be greatly rewarded with Street team posters, stickers, signed stuff, etc., if the individual has a myspace page, his/her myspace page will be on Lamb of God's top friend's list for about a month or so. All submitions need to include your physical address, and an email where you can be reached for the next couple of months. If you change your email address after you have submitted your design, PLEASE LET ME KNOW, otherwise if you are attempted to be reached and cannot, your entry is invalid, and if were to be the winner, the runner up would win. Any questions, please email me at streetteam@lamb-of-god.com An email will be sent out the Street Team members within the next couple of days containing the rules as well. Keep an eye out for it! Thanks and Good Luck! Jase Jagodzinski Lamb of God Street Team CEO

As the Palaces Burn is now released in stores everywhere!
One more week till May 6th! Release of "As the Palaces Burn"
A gift has arrived to the downloads section. Check it out!
Stuff has been very hectic around here and we like to keep people posted. First off the new album is coming out May 6th and along with the progression we need everybodies help. In exchange we will hook you guys up the best we can. The song Ruin should be out on the street team section before this upcoming Monday.
Along with the release we have a new AIM icon to download... Once again big props to Davie Xaio for this one.
The label has also made some new fliers to be downloaded (.zip 4 MB).These files are PDF files and can be printed out using adobe acrobat.
I have a lot to cover and only so much time to do it in. I will try to make this short and sweet. Lamb of God is headlining a tour and we need YOUR help getting fliers made and giving them out. Davie Xiao was nice enough to make these fliers for us to use.
[color - jpg] [color - doc] [black+white - jpg] [black+white - doc]
With printing the .jpg files you need to go into print preview -> print options -> and remove footer/header to print a good copy. If you can print off the .doc files instead of .jpg files.
The contests are as follows. If you make a video of you rocking out to a lamb of god song with your family and give it to the band you will get in for free and get backstage as well! These videos are needed for the upcoming Lamb of God DVD. Not all submitions will be placed but the best ones will!
The other contest is to take a picture of you handing someone a flier while blowing them a kiss. If you do this you will hit guestlist. The picture needs to be outside of a venue of some sort.
-- David Allen"Been too long?.Here we sit...everyone with a good question or 2 about the new record. Here's the short story...we went to mix it in Vancouver with Devin and Shaun and ran out of time. The performances captured are far and away the best I have ever heard LAMB OF GOD sound. Trying to make the most of all the material we captured in the time we allotted ourselves in Vancouver didn't happen. We decided to not rush it, to not walk away with something we all knew has the potential to be monumental not only for us, but for the type of music we play. The goal was to come up with the additional $ to continue mixing until each note of each riff of each song got the attention it deserves. We have done that. The mixing resumes tomorrow and will continue until it is acceptable to every member of this band. Don't get me wrong...we walked out of there with several mixes of songs that would take your damn head clean off...but we want that for every song...not just the singles or the title track. Every song is an essential piece to the puzzle and every riff and drum hit is important to the overall picture. We are aiming for a reasonable shade of perfection because 1) We captured performances that enable us to do so and 2) You and I both deserve it.
I am sick and tired of buying records and seeing bands that don't care...you can hear it in the music and you can see it on the stage..."steal your $ and laugh all the way home" should be the name of half of the records released in the past 5 years. I don't want to be on a pedestal here, there are bands impressing me every day and there are very exciting things happing with heavy music in case you haven't noticed. The point is only that we care about these songs, we care about the CD that will be coming out and we care about the people that will be spending their $ on our music and our shows. If you doubt that, just you wait for this CD to drop...you will hear the difference. Come to a show...you will feel the difference. Spend some time hanging out with us...you will know the difference.
We plan on mastering the CD the first week of Feb and delivering it on time to Prosthetic Records.
Because of a glitch with the distributor, it currently looks like the release date of April 15 will move back to May 6. The only thing positive I can find to say about that is that it will give us all a little more time to recover from tax day.
Since that last bit of info kinda sucks, here?s some that doesn?t. We are looking into headlining tour to begin mid-March into April. Full US and Canada. There has been a lot of interest in us getting back on the road and don?t think we are deaf to that. I?ll have more info on that soon, but in the meantime, several shows have been worked out?check the Events page for details."
-Chris Adler
The demos have been delayed till Febuary. Probably mid Febuary but its not for certain.
Thanks,
David Allen
