I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... There's not enough time before I have to go to work to adequately fill in this block. Lamb is the REAL FUCKING DEAL. And by far the best, hardest, real true hardcore Metal band. Not simply because the music crushes and dominates all but also because there's no pretense about it. Walking the walk and talking the talk. Everything I see out of this band is why I am a musician.
I've played drums my whole life and was always distant from the mainstream and always into Pantera, and other bands that would one day have classifications and "tags" similar to Lamb of God. Never a conformist, always my own. I love watching all the vids I can of Chris and his simple but efficient drum techniques and insight. Chris Adler: You are the man! I am playing in 2 groups right now, (not as hard as Lamb), and almost all of my songs I strive to have the same smooth flowing, yet rythmic precision and destruction that Chris throws down with.
Also I drive around in a 2003 Ford Focus Zx3 hatchback that I had some custom vinyls made for. I have a roughly 2 foot in diameter double layer red/black vinyl logo of the Lamb of God logo font. It cost me around $60 back in 2008 when I got it. At least 2 or 3 times a week some young long haired kid somewhere always yells: " I love that Lamb of God sticker dude!" or at a stoplight some old folks think it's religious and compliment me, or my favorite, and most common: "What's 'Lamb of God'??" ahaha! I always are polite and ask if they are into heavy, screaming hard Metal and usually they're not and if they are then I explain the glory of LoG.
Why am I a fan? Because this is my favorite band for life. Period. I claim this because there's not 1 track on 1 album that I don't love and won't listen to fully when it comes up on a shuffle, or when I'm taking a long trip and I pull the CD's out and start at the beginning of the discography and work my up to Wrath. (I still don't have a copy of Ghost Walking I'm going to get the download with a preorder of Resolution).
I have enjoyed so many years of jamming out to Lamb of God, and look back fondly at the shows and all the times I've had drinking with buddies, discussing, and just enjoying it. I fucking love this band. I'm getting some ink work done soon as I have the cash and I'll post some pics.
And only thing else I have to add to this right now is off the top of my head my top 10 favorite songs:
1. Blood of the Scribe
2. Broken Hands
3. Hit the Wall
5. Walk With Me in Hell
7. Beating of Death's Door
8. Ashes of the Wake
9. Black Label
10. Ghost Walking
