Music has been a big part of my life since very young and metal didn't have it's mezmerising aura on me till I was about 11-12 years old. Ever since I got my first electric guitar my music changed, from being one of those pop wankers and rap losers to a full blown metal head was a smart move at this early age. AC/DC were the first "heavy" band I listened to and I was immediately trying to play all of Thunderstruck as fast as I could on first listen, this new found genre to me was amazing!!! From here it slowly got heavier and heavier. Metallica was next on the listening list and I never looked back from this moment. I adore Metallica. I loved this thrash/speed metal scene even though I wasn't even born in the 80s, couldn't get enough of it! Metallica, Exodus, Mortal Sin, Megadeth, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, King Diamond/Merciful Fate...loved em!!! I wanted something heavier though, more of a challenge mentally and physically. I stumbled upon Lamb of God's "Ashes of the Wake" and the cover looked cool so I bought it out of instinct. Opening track thunderhorse of "Laid to Rest" just about blew me out of my room. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!! THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING!!! HOW DO THEY DO THAT!!!!!!!! I think it took me just under a week to get all the (back-then) cutter CDs and DVDs of LOG because I just couldn't get enough of them. I spent hours upon hours learning (I'm not gonna be one of those [Slur Deleted]gots who says they know every lyric to every song, know every note to every song, because I don't know every lyric to every song, i know most of them) I got tabs up and figured stuff out for myself on my favorite songs, after a while doing little shitty recordings of some of them. Lamb of God make me really fucking happy!!!!
